In a shocking revelation Wednesday, the New York Post reported that Chinese scientists wanted to genetically engineer coronaviruses that were more infectious to humans and then conduct experiments on live bats about 18 months before the first China virus cases emerged.
They requested funding from their U.S. partner, EcoHealth Alliance, but a U.S. Department of Defense agency rejected the funding proposal, leaked documents reveal.
Researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology Wuhan scientists planned to use “skin-penetrating nanoparticles” to unleash “chimeric Covid spike proteins” into bats in China. They also planned to alter coronaviruses to infect humans more easily by introducing “human-specific cleavage sites” to bat coronaviruses.
At the center of the requests was EcoHealth’s founder and CEO, Peter Daszak. The alleged “purpose” of the research was to assess the risk of coronaviruses, work on ways to prevent outbreaks and even vaccinate bats against the virus, according to the proposal.
Far more likely is the rapidly growing belief that the Chinese, along with its U.S. partners in government and research, were hoping to create a deadly pandemic. The largest question now is “why?” The next largest question is, why isn’t this all over cable news? It has been two days since NYP broke this story!
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) refused Daszak’s contract saying that “it is clear that the proposed project led by Peter Daszak could have put local communities at risk.” It went on to warn that Daszak had not even fully considered the dangers involved with enhancing the virus through gain-of-function research before making his request.
Daszak’s team claimed that it would “conduct educational outreach” to make sure there was “a public understanding of what we are doing and why we are doing it, particularly because of the practice of bat-consumption in the region.”
Despite having his proposal rejected, it appears as though Daszak went ahead with it anyway. This is according to Angus Dalgleish, a professor of oncology at St. George’s, University of London, who says that illegal gain-of-function research on coronaviruses was taking place in Wuhan long before the CCP virus mysteriously appeared.
“This is clearly a gain of function, engineering the cleavage site and polishing the new viruses to enhance human cell infectibility in more than one cell line,” Dalgleish said.
Details of the leaked proposal were released Tuesday by Drastic Research, a group of international scientists investigating the origins of the pandemic. Drastic said it was provided the papers by a whistleblower, and a former member of the Trump administration confirmed the proposal’s authenticity to Ame3rica’s Conservative Voice Friday.
A spokesperson for Drastic questioned whether the research — particularly altering the virus to make it more infectious to humans — still went ahead given the theory that the China virus spread from the Wuhan lab.

“Given that we find in this proposal a discussion of the planned introduction of human-specific cleavage sites, a review by the wider scientific community of the plausibility of artificial insertion is warranted,” Stephani Marsh said.
Gain-of-function research has long been a goal of Daszak. In April, The Intercept obtained evidence that the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the nearby Wuhan University Center for Animal Experiment, along with their collaborator, EcoHealth Alliance, engaged in what the U.S. government defines as “gain-of-function research of concern.”
The intent was to intentionally make viruses more transmissible in order to study them, despite stipulations from a U.S. funding agency that the money not be used for that purpose. Grant money for the controversial experiment came from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which is headed by Anthony Fauci.
The award to EcoHealth Alliance, a non-profit research organization which studies the spread of viruses from animals to humans, included subawards to Wuhan Institute of Virology and East China Normal University.
The principal investigator on the grant was Daszak, who has long claimed to be a key voice in the search for China virus origins. In reality, he is the one who likely helped create the virus in the Wuhan lab, through those subawards.
You may recall that Daszak published an infamous letter in The Lancet “debunking” the theory that the Chinese Virus came from a lab in Wuhan, instead blaming its release on “bats.” Daszak was later outed as the financial “bagman” for the Wuhan lab, with serious conflicts of interest who was simply trying to cover up his evil deeds by publishing lies in a “credible” medical journal. Now, everyone who is paying attention knows the truth about him.
“For more than a year I tried repeatedly to ask questions of Peter Daszak with no response,” said Viscount Ridley on Friday, the co-author of an upcoming book on the origins of the CCP virus
“Now it turns out he had authored this vital piece of information about virus work in Wuhan but refused to share it with the world. I am furious. So should the world be. Peter Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance proposed injecting deadly chimeric bat coronaviruses collected by the Wuhan Institute of Virology into humanized and ‘batified’ mice, and much, much more.”
As for Fauci and his role in the gain-of-function research, he was accused earlier this summer by many Congressional critics of lying, after separate documents appeared to contradict his claims that the National Institutes of Health did not fund gain-of-function research at the same Wuhan lab. NIAID is part of the NIH.
Fauci has repeatedly insisted that NIH funding of the Wuhan lab does not constitute gain-of-function research. The grant proposal included in the documents was for a project titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence,” which involved screening thousands of bat samples, as well as people who worked with live animals, for novel coronaviruses, the agency claimed.

The $3.1 million grant was awarded for a five-year period between 2014 and 2019. After the funding was renewed in 2019, it was suspended by the Trump administration in April 2020. The grant directed $599,000 to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for bat coronavirus research.
Drastic Research says that very soon it will publish the actual “DEFUSE Proposal Documents” that outline the scheme in to spread the virus to cave-dwelling bats in greater depth. Daszak will have nothing to hide behind once these go public.

Worse, it may shortly come out that Daszak planned to modify the Middle-East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) virus to make it more deadly. An anonymous scientist from the World Health Organization (WHO) also came forward to suggest that Daszak’s grant proposal included plans to enhance MERS.
It is truly frightening if Daszak and the Wuhan Labe were trying to make infectious chimeric MERS viruses. These viruses have a fatality rate over 30 percent, which is at least an order of magnitude more deadly than the China virus has proven to be. If one of the researchers’ receptor replacements made MERS spread similarly while maintaining its lethality, the resulting pandemic would be nearly apocalyptic.
Daszak is clearly a mad scientist who enjoys creating Frankenstein monsters out of otherwise harmless pathogens that would never otherwise be a threat to humanity. Why is this individual still walking around freely and not in prison or appearing before a military tribunal for committing crimes against humanity?
It is the equivalent of a moronic five-year-old playing with his dad’s loaded shotgun ― absolute madness. Godless apes like Daszak have no moral compass and academia is chock full of nuts like him.
