Smoking Gun: Document reveals China planned six years ago to develop, unleash a coronavirus
Chinese scientists and public health officials in 2015 discussed the weaponization of a SARS coronavirus to be released "in a way never before seen"
China claimed from the start of the outbreak the CCP virus was first spread at a Wuhan “wet market,” but a newly uncovered document reveals the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) science and health ministries had plans to develop and release a SARS type of disease. (Photo: Chinese News Agency)
Far from being a naturally transmitted disease that made the leap from animals to humans, America’s Conservative Voice (ACV) has learned it most likely was engineered — with U.S. help — with the intent of releasing it as a bioweapon.
A document written by Chinese scientists and Chinese public health officials in 2015 discussed the weaponization of the original SARS coronavirus, commonly known as the Bird Flu. Titled The Unnatural Origin of SARS and New Species of Man-Made Viruses as Genetic Bioweapons, the paper predicted that World War Three would be fought with biological weapons.
Released five years before the start of the CCP virus pandemic, it describes SARS coronaviruses as a “new era of genetic weapons” that can be “artificially manipulated into an emerging human disease virus, then weaponized and unleashed in a way never before seen.”
The document is as close to a “smoking gun” as western health officials have received.
“I think this is significant because it clearly shows that Chinese scientists were thinking about military application for different strains of the coronavirus and thinking about how it could be deployed,” said Daniel Rivera, an immunology expert at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. “It begins to firm up the possibility that what we have here is the accidental release of a pathogen for military use.”
The document fuels speculation that has been discussed for months as to why China has been so reluctant for outside investigations into the origins of virus. U.S. health officials under both President Trump and Biden have said, if transmission started at a wet market it would be in China’s interest to co-operate — the world has experienced the opposite response.
Among the 18 listed authors of the document are People’s Liberation Army scientists and weapons experts. Robert Potter, a cyber security specialist who analyses leaked Chinese government documents was asked by ACV to verify the paper. According to him, the document is legitimate.
“We reached a high confidence conclusion that it was genuine,” Potter said. “It’s not fake but it’s up to someone else to interpret how serious it is.”
National security experts say it is not unusual to see Chinese research papers discussing technologies and developments the country sees itself lagging behind in seeking publicly discuss theories, concepts and ideas to make progress. Many said, however, does not necessarily equate to action being taken.
The document is discussed in a new book What really happened in Wuhan by The Australian investigations writer Sharri Markson which will be published by HarperCollins in September.

The CCP virus is caused by a coronavirus named SARS-Co V-2 which emerged in December 2019. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses, several of which cause respiratory diseases in humans — ranging from a common cold to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
So-called “investigations” by the World Health Organization (WHO) — a political ally of China — have claimed the virus was likely of animal origin and crossed over to humans from bats. Some countries such as Australia, France and Iran have been able to send public health officials on WHO missions to carry out those inquiries but U.S. officials have been denied access.
Contrary to those questionable findings is the funding by the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) headed by Anthony Fauci of “gain-of-function” research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology where U.S. intelligence official believe the deadly pathogen was engineered to infect human tissue. The effort was said to be geared toward gaining knowledge ahead of a major viral outbreak of the CCP-designed disease to it could be defeated in its early stages.
Instead, it appears the have created the next major pandemic — with the recent document leak pointing to evidence the release was deliberate.
On Capitol Hill Tuesday, Fauci got into a heated exchange with Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) over that funding, which went on for eight years beginning in 2013. It even continued despite Barack Obama barring U.S. funds from being spent on that kind of research in 2014. When Trump discovered it was still being done, just outside the country, he banned NIAID from underwriting it further.
Fauci tried to deny that his agency had sent money to China to use gain-of-function methods in making a virus more likely to infect humans, using a bat-based virus to do so. When Paul challenged him with the truth that Fauci had funded Dr. Ralph Baric’s work at the University of North Carolina, the NAIAD director claimed Baric did not do gain-of-function research.
Paul again corrected him, at which point Fauci said Baric did not share his methods with the Chinese, which Paul flatly rejected as a lie. Fauci refused to say whether he continues to support funding gain-of-function research.
ACV in September last year debunked the myth that the Wuhan wet market, which was initially blamed as the source of the virus. As the newly revealed documents indicate, the lab was not the origination site of the disease. Instead, , the disease almost certainly and deliberately was released from the lab.
The market in Wuhan did aid the virus in spreading — an amplifying event rather than being a true ground zero. Additionally, though the laboratory has been rated a Level 4 facility, the highest level such a research entity can achieve, U.S. officials warned even before the virus outbreak that the lab did not come up to par for a Level 4 unit.
In March, the WHO issued a brief report Wuhan visit and called for further investigations into the origins of COVID-19. As far as WHO is concerned, all hypotheses remain on the table. The U.N. agency claims to have not yet found the source of the virus. The health organization paid the usual lip-service to continue “to follow the science” and leave “no stone unturned” in finding answers.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began there have been 156 million cases of COVID-19 and 3.26 million deaths worldwide.
