Wide open border: Joe Biden may increase illegal immigration by as much as 800%
As detention facilities become every more crowded, Biden insiders say they will be releasing as many as 400 families per day into the U.S.

After spending the first two months blaming the Trump administration for the surge at the U.S.-Mexico border that began the day Joe Biden took office, the administration has now dropped all pretense of trying to control illegal immigration.
Biden’s border crisis has continued to worsen, with a recent report saying that U.S. officials believe they will encounter two million migrants illegally trying to enter the U.S. southern border this year. That is more than the population of Alaska, Vermont, and Wyoming — combined.
Administration officials who spoke to ACV on condition of anonymity said they expect an 800% increase in illegal border crossings by the end of June. Biden is reportedly moving to significantly increase the number of migrants released into the U.S. who were apprehended by U.S. officials for trying to illegally enter the country.
The Biden administration anticipates that it will be releasing 400 migrant families into the country a day by mid-June as the influx of people encountered illegally crossing the border overwhelms its detention capacity. The 400 figure is eight times greater than the 50 families that Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement were releasing from its facilities each day early on in 2021.
As of mid-March, Border Patrol agents were seeing 500 people arrive as part of a family group per day. The sources speaking to ACV added that the move by the Biden administration was an attempt to “cope” with their self-created border crisis. Biden finally admitted last week that his border crisis is, in fact, a “crisis,” a remark that he made while briefly speaking with reporters after playing a round of golf.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki later came out with a highly unusual contradiction of her boss, claiming Biden’s own remarks did not reflect the view of his administration, furthering making the ridiculous claim that he does not believe that the situation at the U.S. border is a “crisis,” despite the fact he said exactly that.
The Biden administration announced on Friday that it was canceling fines for illegal aliens who failed to leave the U.S., claiming that the move to enforce immigration laws ran “counter to the agency’s best interest.” Interesting, given that enforcement of immigration laws is precisely the job description of the CBP.
The double-speak of this administration regarding illegal immigration has been obvious from the start. With a three-fold increase of illegal aliens coming into the U.S during February alone, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary insisted that “the border is secure, the border is closed,” and blamed the surge on the Trump administration.

In response, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said “The border is wide open,” adding that the “border right now is wide open because the Biden administration dismantled the very effective policies of the Trump administration and the agreements we had with Mexico and other Latin American countries.”
In late January, Cotton pointed out, Biden lifted a public health exclusionary order for minors, thus creating a huge influx of minors at the border. The administration also ended President Trump’s “remain in Mexico” police and the “safe third-country agreement” that required migrants to make their asylum claims in the first nation they entered after leaving their native country.
Now, it appears, even more illegal aliens will flood into the country, be processed and then released without even receiving a notice to appear order (NTA) that would require them to return to the point of origin for a court date to hear their asylum claim. Migrants who were not given a notice to appear instead received identification documents and were told to show those documents to local sheriffs if necessary. Some of those migrants said they were not asked for contact information, and it is not clear how U.S. government agencies will reach out to them.
Internal DHS memos indicate the eight-fold increase administration officials expect by the end of June is largely due to plans to make the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program more efficient. They claim that is a necessity because of the increasing number of migrants enrolled in the program “becoming a priority” for the Department.
The ATD program, which started in 2004, involves varying degrees of supervision for people who are going through immigration proceedings and do not have legal status. According to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) website, ATD can include methods from check-ins at local ICE centers to GPS monitoring and home visits, depending on the immigrant and their background, criminal history and other factors.
The problem with the program since its inception is that it doesn’t work. illegals cut off the monitors, don’t show up at ICE centers and fail to provide a home address where they can be monitored by visiting agents. The ability of ICE to perform interior enforcement is significantly impeded by its need to respond to the massive influx of aliens encountered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Southwest border, and by an increase in sanctuary policies.
Former Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf responded to the news by writing: “Just when you think the Biden administration’s immigration policies and agenda can’t get worse — it does.
“How does withdrawing a consequence (i.e. fines, NTAs, monitoring) and holding individuals accountable when they overstay their visa and fail to depart in the best interests of DHS?” Wolf added.
Biden and his cabal in Washington aren’t going to answer questions like that. They are too busy letting potential Fascist Left voters into the country to ensure they hold onto power for the foreseeable future.
